What is the difference between standard, polarised and photochromic lenses?

Standard lenses offer everyday sun protection. Polarised lenses help reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as water, roads and snow. Photochromic lenses change darkness depending on UV exposure, making them useful when light && UV levels vary.

Fit, Sizing & Model Choice

Which Eyesnug model is best for me?

The best model depends on your face shape, head size and how much snugness you want. As a general guide, Explorer is the least snug, followed by Originals, Viento and pursuit. The product pages include model-specific fit guidance and Snug Scale ratings. You can also read https://eyesnug.com/blogs/news/find-your-perfect-eyesnug-sunglasses-which-model-suits-you-best for more sizing guidance.

Which model is best for smaller or narrower faces?

In our experience the Pursuit model is the model which gets the most overwhelming positive feedback on fit, especially for women. Viento is designed for smaller faces. It has a more petite frame and is a good place to start if larger sunglasses often feel loose or oversized.

Which model is best for larger faces?

Originals is Eyesnug’s largest frame and will suit many average-to-larger head sizes. It may be especially suitable where smaller frames feel too tight or narrow.

How snug should Eyesnug sunglasses feel?

They should feel close and secure, but not uncomfortable. A close fit helps reduce exposure to wind, dust, pollen, cold air and other irritants, but there still needs to be enough comfort and airflow for everyday wear.

How do I know if the fit is protective enough?

Look for a close fit around the brow, sides and cheeks, with minimal open gaps. The better the fit, the more protection you’ll usually get from wind and airborne irritants. If there are obvious gaps, a different model or small fit adjustment may work better.

What if they feel too tight?

If they feel uncomfortably tight, try wearing them briefly at home first and check whether the pressure eases. On Pursuit and Originals, minor arm adjustments can be made by gently warming the temple arms with a hairdryer on low heat and adjusting little by little.

Often though you are best to return them for full refund as if you won't wear them, they can't protect you!

What if they feel too loose?

A close, secure fit usually gives the best protection. If your sunglasses feel a little loose, silicone nose pads or temple adjusters can sometimes help improve the fit.

Care, Use & Fogging

Why do close-fitting sunglasses sometimes fog?

Fogging can happen when warm, moist air gets trapped behind the lenses. A very close fit improves protection, but if airflow is too limited, moisture may build up. A small adjustment to the fit, cleaning the lenses, or using no-fog spray can help.

Can removing the snug shield help with fogging?

If your pair includes a removable snug shield, removing it can sometimes help reduce fogging by improving airflow. You’ll still keep many of the protective benefits of the wraparound frame, but the fit will feel a little less sealed.

How do I stop my lenses from fogging?

Add your Keep the lenses clean and dry. Use the no-fog spray supplied with Viento and Pursuit models as directed. Small fit adjustments can also help improve airflow. In cold or damp conditions, try to direct your breath downward, especially when wearing high collars, scarves or face coverings.

While we do our best in design to reduce fogging as much as possible but if its inconvenient then please return for a full refund answer here.

Lenses & Protection

Do Eyesnug lenses protect against UV?

Yes. All eyesnug sunglasses offer 100% UV400 protection on adult models such as Originals and Viento.

Why are my photochromic lenses not darkening as much as expected?

Photochromic lenses react to UV light. Very wide-brimmed hats, deep shade or environments where UV is reduced may limit how much the lenses darken. This is normal and does not mean the lenses are faulty.

Do photochromic lenses darken in the car?

Most car windscreens block a significant amount of UV, so photochromic lenses may not darken as much or at all inside a vehicle as they do outdoors.

Can Eyesnug sunglasses cure dry eye or allergies?

No. Eyesnug sunglasses do not cure dry eye, allergies or any medical condition. They are designed to help reduce exposure to common triggers such as wind, dust, pollen and cold air. For ongoing symptoms, customers should speak to an eye-care professional.
